There was comical parliament drama witnessed today as a heated argument ensued between Embakasi East Member of Parliament Babu Owino and his Gatundu counterpart Gabriel Kagombe.
The short series of events began when Babu Owino was interrupted by Kagombe while still on the microphone leading to the ODM politician ordering Kagombe to ‘Shut up’.
”Can you please shut up and listen as I pump knowledge into your empty mind,” an irritated Babu Owino exclaimed at Kagombe.
This led to House Speaker Moses Wetangula intervening and asking Babu Owino to maintain order, withdraw his statement and apologize. By the time of Wetangula’s intervention however, Babu Owino had already branded Kagombe as a fool.
Kagombe returned the favor by telling Babu that he was ‘drumming drums of war’ while insisting his comments was not in line with the ongoing debate.
Babu would however withdraw his statement after a sharp respect lesson from the Speaker. He would however not apologize insisting that he still thinks Kagombe is indeed a fool.
