News have been circulating on social media platforms of teachers and their employers disagreements over their salaries. This has led to teachers calling on a strike since they feel that their grievances are being ignored yet they have been delivering great service to students by passing knowledge and equipping them with a great understanding. 
Teachers despite many talks with their bosses have stood strong on their stand of not calling off the strike till their grievances are heard and worked on.
Today at Tharaka-Nithi County, Chuka Igambang’ombe Sub-county, Karingani Ward teachers held their strike at the town center where they were singing their famous song “solidarity Forever” a song that is meant to mean that they are all United on this whole issue till it get solved.
According to reports from various media houses they went and camped outside an extra county girls school at the town center Chuka girls where it is alleged that the students were in school learning. From the reports teachers started singing out there.
This caused commotion in the school and the students decided to join them where they broke the gates of the school and joined the teachers in their solidarity spirit. The situation was worked on by the authorities who responded quickly by arriving at the scene and dispersing the students and teachers with tear-gass from the scene. The whole scenario has left many students shocked and parents worried about the well being of their kids whom the sent yo school a day ago to learn.
From the various comments shared by multiple people online it is evident that many are calling out the principal who allowed students to be at school that time when schools are not supposed to be running. Others have noted that the students are in the Genzs bracket that does not fear anything and that they do what they feel is right.
