Meru County has been among the controversial counties with political heat rising each and every day. Politics in the Mount Kenya East region county Meru, have never stopped even after close one and half year after the general elections on 2022. 
The first political heat wave was experienced when some of the members of county assembly tried to impeach the governor Kawira Mwangaza but upon summon by the senate Kawira won. As if that was not enough they hanged up after an year to impeach her but she also won.
Today during an event in Meru the brave governor took to address the ongoing questions about the death of Meru blogger Snipper who was brutally murdered by unknown people. According to the governor who is being dragged to Snippers death, all these allegations are cheap politics that want to bring her down political as she claimed that those who want to bring her down are her enemies who also want to take over her governor’s position in the county.
