President William Ruto has nominated Dorcas Oduor to replace former Attorney General Justin Muturi, who was recently dismissed along with several Cabinet Secretaries.
The dissolution of Ruto’s Cabinet has garnered significant attention, with many Kenyans taking to social media to express their reactions and congratulate the president on his decisions.
Lawyer Donald Kipkorir shared his thoughts on Oduor’s nomination through his social media platforms. In his statement, Kipkorir recalled his 2018 endorsement of Dorcas Oduor to be the first woman Director of Public Prosecutions (DPP), a position she qualified for but did not attain due to ethnic biases.
Kipkorir expressed his delight at her nomination as Attorney General, praising her qualifications and character. He described Oduor as deserving of the position, highlighting her intellectual depth, humility, grace, and extensive experience. Kipkorir also mentioned Shadrack Moses, who will serve as her Solicitor General, expressing confidence that the duo will bring necessary reforms to the Office of the Attorney General.
“God Bless Thee Dorcas!” Kipkorir concluded, showing his strong support for her appointment.
