Police in Mombasa are investigating the death of a police officer whose body was found outside a bar on Wednesday morning. The officer’s body was discovered outside a drinking establishment in the Kibarani area of Changamwe, bearing stab wounds, suggesting possible torture.
The motive behind the murder remains unclear, but police have launched a manhunt for suspects. The area Police boss confirmed that an investigation is underway, with officers following crucial leads to apprehend the perpetrators. The bar owner has been arrested to assist with the investigation.
Police processed the scene and moved the body to the local mortuary pending a postmortem examination. Residents have voiced security concerns, pointing to recent incidents in the area.
